Hi all! So, we finally got down to playing a game this weekend. Quite fun indeed!
Christian put together a battle report, which you can read here. Enjoy!

Flintloque general
My latest Flintloque figure on the table: a dogman mounted general!
He's only WIP here, with a lot of highlighting (which I've since started!) to go. Then, of course, his trusty steed!

Dark and light backgrounds to get a better idea of the colours. Not the best pictures in the world, but good enough for a quick update! Will post better pics when it's finished.

Reading materials have arrived!
I've taken to collecting some of the older (and some not-so-older) army books and hobby books. Most recently I picked up these two off a Facebook forum.
I also came across a High Elves army book I hadn't seen before at CanCon, which seems to have completed my collection of High Elf army books! I really must post some pictures and find out if there are any others ...
Looking forward to flicking through all of these!

Flintloque: Elf maiden
I painted this lady up sometime last year but never got around to taking pictures until recently when I put her up on my new Facebook page, Pegasus Paintbox (here).
I'm particularly happy with how her hair turned out:

PEGASUS PAINTBOX: New Facebook page!
Hi all,
Just thought I'd do a quick post about my new Facebook page Pegasus Paintbox. I've decided to put up some examples of my painted work on Facebook, and maybe start including some "on my painting table" WIPs as I try to make more time for painting this year!
I know I've said "the year of the brush" a couple of times before, but this is definitely IT!
Check out the page here and "Like" it while you're at it! :-)

CanCon 2015
Another year, another haul! Found quite a few things I've been looking for, but I'm particularly excited about these!
Morathi on Dark Pegasus: I've been after this one for a conversion I've been wanting to do for my Wood Elves. I only need the body for my conversion, so I'm busily thinking of ideas on how to use D-Peg ... got a couple already! Let's see how we go ...
High Elf Pegasus: VERY happy indeed to have found this one! I've already got two of these pegasi but I could never find a complete model that didn't also break the bank (the rider and throne are next to impossible to find alone as well)! This one is going straight into the Simple Green tub when we get home!

I'm excited to finally be able to remove this from my wants list!

Troops march on ...
Not much of an updated, but seeing as my Flintloque troops haven't seen much progress in recent months and I've finally managed to put some time into them, here's a WIP:
Highlighting on the yellow all done, which I'm quite happy about! There's also a dwarf mini who freelances for Schnoselburg, who is almost finished ... I'll post up a pic of him soon as well.
More pics to come soon of the finished minis ☺

A little bit of pulp ...
I recently put together some playing cards for a game of Pulp Alley we're planning to try. It was quite fun and utilised my crafty side, which I haven't used in ages!
Here are some pics of the process. It's a very simple deck - there are 5 "Rewards" cards, 5 cards that appear only once and 20 cards that are duplicated in the deck, all labelled so it's easy to work out which one's which:
They're just printed on paper and glued to coloured card, then slipped into some deck protectors to make them easy to shuffle. You could laminate them too, I guess, but I always find that laminated things tend to stick to each other ...
The finished product:

Beginnings ... Wood Elf army
I've been collecting wood elf figures for some years now and haven't gotten around to putting much together. I think I've assembled some dryads and a couple of glade riders ...
However, I recently picked up a box of Wildwood Rangers (incidentally, also a box of Eternal Guard) and here are the beginnings of the first line:
Yes, I know the musician is missing an arm! Have you ever tried to whack on those one-handed giant axes? Not musician friendly. Anyway, he will probably end up with a sword in his other hand. Looking forward to putting together the rest and moving onto my Sisters of Twilight model I've been wanting to work on for ages!

Kickstarter campaign: Dark Sword Miniatures/Stephanie Law range
Hi all,
I thought I'd take a moment to share this Kickstarter campaign for a lovely range of miniatures based on the artwork of Stephanie Law (website).
There are lots of free miniatures to be added to the core bundle and some fantastic add-ons if you increase your pledge by various amounts. Here is a look at a couple of miniatures included in the core bundle (obviously they come unpainted):
And here is the link to the campaign. The campaign has already reached and surpassed the initial goal, so you're guaranteed the core bundle plus all the free minis and add-ons (additional $$) unlocked so far!
Anyway, that's my plug. Normally I don't go for these campaigns, but I really love the miniatures in this range!
