Hi all, it's been a while since I posted anything!
Unfortunately other (non-painting) projects have kept me pretty busy lately, but seeing as I have a little time now I thought I'd enter the LPL this year! Good excuse to get me painting the seven thousand Eureka teddies and frogs I've purchased over the past year. Not to mention the three and two halves Warhammer/WH40K armies I have/have been acquiring! :-S
Planning on doing some old Citadel dwarves for my first round - a good bunch of dwarf "adventurers". Alas, no pics until after LPL begins ...
Anyway, pics of my first-ever fully based miniature coming soon! ('bout time too!)

Princess Romina!
Eureka loved it and are now casting the frog princess - Princess Romina!
Check her out at left! I think there is some fantastic detail in the conversion sculpting.

A-hunting we will go!
Two posts in one night! Just a couple of pics of one of my foot knights. Put together and modified for me by Christian. Check out the great pack on his back and the sculpted chain mail:

Wood Elves: Beginnings
Hi all,
Though my projects are nowhere near progessed as I'd hoped by now, I'm happy to report the beginnings of my Wood Elf army!
After what seemed an age of clipping bits off sprews, I managed to put together a bunch of Glade Guard, a Dryad and a Glade Rider champion.
See below for pics of said champion:
Apologies - not the best pics! Yet to name champion - oh yes, they will be named!
Hope to post some more pics soon. Would have posted Glade Guard but, sadly, they are still headless ...

To be or not to be
It appears that painting time is not to be for the moment (ah, the perils of undertaking postgrad education *sigh*). Only managed to get the base coat and wash done on 5 or 6 frogs this weekend, so no pics for now.
On the bright side, I discovered some pics from a Z scale train project I started working on with my partner in crime, Christian, about two years ago! Only some prelim shots, but it's a project we're hoping to pick up again later in the year.
Check out the pics at our new blog: http://steam-ventures.blogspot.com/

CanCon 2011 - the pics are in!
Okay, so the pics have been in for quite a while now ... just haven't gotten around to linking to them!
We didn't join any tournaments, just did a lot of shopping! But you can check out some of the action we saw at photobucket: http://s247.photobucket.com/albums/gg142/Intergalactic_photos/CANCON%202011/
You might even see some awesome desert spires (see jungle-looking photo) custom-made by Christian!
Enjoy!

Hello!
It's been a while since I've posted, so here are some pics from the Battle of Frogonia project I'm undertaking with Christian.
Just painted these guys tonight - couple of hours of good fun!
Hope to post some more BloodBowl progress soon too!

Based!
Progress at last! I have actually started basing my BloodBowl team!
The froglets have also seen some base action, yay! Okay, so not a terribly exciting progress pic, but tonight I based more minis than I have in the last year!

Pom-pom Party!
How cool is it that cheerleaders give you cool mods?
How not cool is it that most female minis are scantilty (if not indecently) clad? (And they wonder why there aren't many girls into the hobby :-P )
This is my first attempt at sculpting (and it's still a work in progress). I wanted their tops to be somewhat more tasteful; still needs some more shaping and smoothing:
Trying to maintain the body shape of the mini, while providing some cover up and showing the character's movement in the clothing.
Any tips?
Btw, don't forget to check out the battle between King Ribbidibit and his nemesis, Captain Pondscum at http://battle-of-frogonia.blogspot.com/
