Bretonnian foot knights, pt.2

Snapped a couple of pics of the unpainted unit of knights:

You can see a monk on the left there - he's pretty old! He's going to be a character. Also, the the right in the front rank you can see the musician, who is also apparently quite rare :-)

Christian's working on a conversion for me - a dwarf knight on pony! Will take a pic of the unpainted figure once the sculpting is completed and post it up here.

Bretonnian foot knights

As part of a Warhammer 3rd Edition project, I started painting up some Bretonnian foot knights. They will be joining forces with the dwarves (who will make up the bulk of my small force) and a few wood elves.

Here are a couple of WIP pics of the first three:

I'm hoping to finish these guys and some of their friends over the Easter long weekend, as well as my gladiatrix. Let's see how we go with getting my uni work done!

Fanticide tree ent

Among all the goodies we picked up at CanCon was a bunch of Fanticide figures from the Eureka stall. The first of these I have begun working on is this tree ent. Christian sculpted the moss onto the base and also here and there on the body of the figure itself.

Just some WIP pics for now!

Not the best pics in the world, but more coming when I finish painting. There are a couple of white spots here and there that need attending to in my next go at painting this guy ...

Gladiatrix

Acquired this mini a while ago now and seeing Christian's ludus near completion made me feel like painting it. Just a couple of WIP pics:

More photos soon!

Jungle to jungle

Here are the jungle shots! The froggies are positioned in front of some jungle bases Christian and I made a couple of years ago, on a desert board 2' x 2' made by Christian.

Enjoy! Comments welcome :-)

The Mad Hatter

This is my next mini from the LAM VSF range. He's from the Alice in Steamland pack, but I'm not really sure which character he's meant to be - so I've decided he can be the Mad Hatter.

Just a couple of WIP pics for now!

Not the best pics, but will put up some better ones once I've finished the ol' chap.

An eye for an eye

Took some advice from DeafNala on Lead Adventure Forum to add a white dot to the eyes of the frogs.

I've also painted a black rim around all their eyes, which gives them more definition ... as I mentioned to Christian (whose suggestion it was to do so), I hadn't noticed until I started painting the rims that their eyes had previously looked like they were floating slowly off their faces!

I'm quite happy with the results - they've taken on a more "animated" look.

Here are a couple of hammerers with the standard bearer and a pike-frog. The hammerer with the hat is the champion.

And here are all the hammerers!

I hope to post some pictures of these little guys in a proper setting in the next few days, so stay tuned!

Marching with shields

So here are the shields with their owners. Pretty much finished, though I want to do some highlighting on the yellow one:

Buttons and things

These are the shields my frogs picked up in their travels around the land of Frogonia. Some of the troops, as you saw before, have some nice turtle shell shields, but these guys opted for something more makeshift - buttons!

Pics of the troops holding them coming soon! :-)

Finished frogs

Just a little update on Princess Romina's guard. First two completely finished troops!
